Another way to order in Web Console is through the use of templates. A template is a predetermined list of items that can be used to create an order. A Template must be created before you can use one. Templates appear under current orders in Web Console but you should only open them from that screen if you wish to edit the template itself.

To create an order from a template:

  1. Click on the "Orders" Tab
  2. Click on the "Create" Sub-Tab
  3. Select "Create an order using a template"
  4. Click "Continue"
  5. Select the template you wish to use.
  6. Click "Continue"
  7. Change "New Qty" from 0 to the desired quantity.
  8. Click "Apply Changes" at bottom of page

The order is now ready to be either submitted to our order department

9. Click "Confirm" to submit the order

Or you may sign out and hold the order until you are ready to "Confirm".

About "Set to Cart":

Because you can hold multiple orders on your account without actually ordering or confirming them, the system needs to know to which order any new items ordered should be added. Only one order at a time can be "Set to Cart". You can see which order is "Set to Cart" by viewing the current orders. The status field will display "Entry / Cart". You can set an order to cart by viewing the order and clicking the "Set to Cart" link in the Type / Status field. Please note that when an order is "Set to Cart" you may add to it from any part of the site that allows ordering such as the product catalog or the rapid entry screen.
